Discrete production in QAD eb2.1

Hi
I'd like to ask people which got experience in using QAD about possibility to make discrete production (make to order) in this system. We would like to use QAD in electronics assembly factory, we don't make to stock, we start production after reciving order from customer so components are bought for specific order or taken from customer magazine if something remains from previous orders (each customer got own components magazine)
1) is it possible after create order to reserve some components (manually) from magazine, QAD should make order to buy rest of components
2) is it possible to track arrival date of components for specific order or group of orders after entering acknowledgements of component lines
3) is in this system straight connection between order and component list
4) is there any accumulation mechanism of ordering components, eg. there are four orders for one client, each use 100 components of same type, minimal order for this type of components is 4000, so QAD will try to buy 4x100=400 components and round it to 4000 or will buy 4x4000 components?

and generally what is your opinion about using QAD for make to order production?

regards

In Mfg/Pro, the work order / inventories/ purchase orders are not pegged to the sales order. Don't believe it if any one tells you Mfg/Pro can. Mfg/Pro basically only supports make to stock and configure to order.

SAP fits your requirement perfectly. Mfg/Pro is the wrong tool for this requirement.

One solution to this could be configured articles, this option allows you to create QAD kit and spare parts, that you could help in at least one point
