Customer Order - Quantity Ready

Hello,
We have a situation where we have a customer order that has

qty ready = 20
ship qty = 20
invoice qty = 20
​

I am wondering why the qty ready doesn't = 0, since it has already been shipped and invoiced.
Any help or insight is appreciated.
