We would like to set up replication for our database, however while reading the OpenEdge Replication white paper it stated the replication was not capable of replicating across endian different platforms.
Our primary database resides on an IBM AIX box (big endian), and where we want to placed the backup database is a windows machine (little endian).
Is there any solution(hack) to the openedge replicaton system to overcome this limitation? I'm kinda disappointed the replication processes was not coded in a endian-indifferent manner in the first place.
If you've got any suggestions on an alternative method, I'm open for them.
