I am able to connect using the ODBC drivers in Access (sometimes, other times I will get authorization failed). But when I try to setup a linked server in Enterprise Manager (SQL Server), I always get errors.
My Settings are as follows:
System ODBC DSN:
DSN: Progress
Description: Vantage
Host_name: ECF_NT2
Port Number: 2501
Database Name: Epic50
UserID: SGraham
SQL Linked Server:
Linked Server: Progress
Product Name: Progress
Data Source: Progress
Provider String: (Blank)
Location: (Blank)
Catalog: (Blank)
I get Microsoft error 7399 when trying to connect (OLE DB ERROR TRACE
I appreciate any help. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to progress.
