Hello,
I am working in a project which consists to migrate a software using a database and a language Progress into an Oracle Database.
I am using for that the Progress Data Server for Oracle and I am working with Oracle 10g and OpendEdge 10.1A.
The server runs under Linux Red Hat and the client software under Windows XP.
I am encountering a problem with the character set. Indeed, at runtime, the accentuated characters are improperly restored.
Oracle uses the "WE8MSWIN1252" character set and Progress Data Server for Oracle uses "ISO8859-1".
Is it possible to find a matching table between the character set of Oracle and Progress Data Server or is it necessary to change the character set of Oracle ?
Thank you very much.
Yohan
