Character Client

I have this error when I access the character client:
Error: User ID cannnot exceed 8 characters. Please re-enter.
Press space bar to continue.

But when I press the space bar..it automatically shut down the chacter client.

What should I do?

Change the flag in 36.3.24 to "B", it must be set as "P".

In character client your o/s login id is populated, if this login is not set in MFG/PRO it will log you out.
