Call Numbers do not auto generate

I am unable to set the Call Number field in QAD 8.5 to autogenerate call numbers. All other maintenance forms (Quotes, RMA etc) are working fine.
Any suggestions? Might it be something in the Generalized Codes table?

The auto number generation is occurring after the first header frame has been completed. This doesn't seem to be in line with the functionality of any other frame in the program. Suggestions?
