Best web development with Progress db?

Hi All-We use Infor's SX.enterprise ERP system. Several years ago we designed a few web pages using Webspeed that both read and write to our Progress db. We have several enhancement requests that will require a fairly major rewrite of the web pages. Since we have to basically rewrite the apps anyway, I thought I would check with the group....is Webspeed still the best thing to use for writing this type of web app or would we be better off going with something like Java or .net? Thanks.

It depends actually on several situations or how you define BEST:

1. What will you use as database?
2. What is the time frame of the project?
3. What expertise do you hold?

Lots of Best Web Applications of today are commonly built in PHP, and JSP.
In my own experience, PHP and Webspeed are fairly like Sisters in terms of how
you use them; maybe because they come from the same source.

This is just an opinion. Goodluck!
