We r using COMPAQ TRU 64 UNIX as our operating system and are running Mfg/Pro on it. We have created several crons on our system that run a predefined times set by CRONTAB.
Today, the cron's went haywhile and got executed at different times, then those that were preset. On debugging we found that the scheduler that run's these cron's changed the timings automatically.
Does anyone have idea how can the Scheduler change the cron timings?
If it can change it then on what occasions does it change it?
Is cron really reliable if the scheduler changes the timings automatically?
