When a new page is created or fields are added to an object and its pages, you can add the field to the default section of each page but you have to edit each page to adjust the field placement since the default location is not the desired location most of the time. If I save the view page and synchronize to the new and edit pages, all list views are lost on the new and edit pages, which they should be. However, any lookups changed to picklists, filter views applied to these lookups, and required or read-only field settings are lost on the new and edit pages synchronized from a view page. When synchronizing from a new or edit page to a view page, any list views are lost event though they did not apply to the source new or edit page. It would be a benefit to allow a sync across all 3 page layout types and ignore the settings that do not apply to that type of page layout.
