Hi there,
We had a bit of a problem with after imaging the other night. Basically we have our source database which is our live system and our target database which is a DR copy without Procontrol running. We are using Progress 9.1d and are running after imaging through a PHP script which forces the after imaging extents to roll over onto the DR server every 15 minutes.
The problem was that one of our guys was copying the target database whilst after imaging was trying to roll forward onto the DR site. This caused a lock error which meant that the AI files became out of synch.
We were able to take a copy of the source database and restore on the target location. Once we had done that we attempted to re-enable after imaging on the source database which had restarted the AI sequence, however we recieved the below error message:
00:14:19 ** Cannot find or open file D:\dbname\db\dbnamedb\dbname_8.d5, errno =32 (43)
This is relating to one of our data areas for the database which was present in the correct folder. We then tried to re-enable after imaging which did work the second time and has been proved to be working since.
Is there anything that anyone can think of which could have caused this error message? I apologise if I havent explained this particularly well but it was a long night!
Thanks and regards.
