ADM1 > ADM2

Talkers,
I used to use this following code in ADM1 development frequently
RUN get-link-handle IN adm-broker-hdl (INPUT this-procedure,
INPUT 'container-source',
OUTPUT v-hdl).
I am trying to understand it FULLY to convert it to use with ADM2. I am unsure of the standard progress code/calls can anyone help explain?
