About report in progress

Hello,

I joined newly to this Progress Talk.First of all i want to say 'Hello' to you. I have the doubt about report in progress.

Can we use external Report Builder in progress 4GL?
If its possible means please list what are all the tools?

theres a big diff in performance and features between progress v9 and openedge 10.

what version are you using, exactly ?


Crystal Reports, Actuate, Business Objects, Cognos are some of the big names.

check with your vendor he may already have a reporting package based on one of these tools.

i'm really interested in looking into eclipse BIRT when i'll have the time.
 
About report in progress 9D

I have no idea about using external report builder in Progress 9D.

Could you list the report builder tools possible in Progress 9D ?
Could you explain sample coding for how we will use that tools with progress?
 
Hi,

BTW: are there external report-builders which have native-driver-support to progress-db`s or are they exclusively connecting by ODBC?
I mean connecting by ODBC will be very slow.
