Dase anybody know if/what the command is for triming spaces from a field in a progress tabel?

From the field name or from the contents?

If name, just edit using dictionary tools.
See ProRefactor for fixing programs which reference the field.

If the contents, you are in the wrong forum.

If contents:
From the ends or all instances of space in the field?
Look at TRIM and REPLACE

Development is generally the right place for general ABL language questions.

So, TRIM or REPLACE should be what you need.
