Minollo, you were spot on.... I had a "doh!" moment once you mentioned the PUB schema name, as I am well aware that in SQL connections to OE DB's that must be used. Works totally as expected now. Jaime, for customers with SQL connections we do use the dbtool to set the SQL width. But thanks for the reminder! Two very good quick responses here... I'm impressed.
