I really hope I am wrong, but based on the letter I just got from QAD,
MFG/PRO Version 8.5F is not Y2K ready and is not eligible for the Y2K
priority support service. The only Y2K ready version are 7.3N, 7.4I, 8.5F,
8.6 or higher. So we have to purchase this services. It really surprised me.
Is any of you no the same boat?

Hi Yizhi,

I think you need to read the document again. They should be stating that
only those versions listed are eligible for the special Y2K priority
service they are offering. This doesn't mean that the earlier versions
aren't Y2K compliant. It means if their going to give priority service and
someone does uncover a problem, the preference is that you are on the
latest version for that platform. I.E> 8.5H was just released - it includes
all patches for 8.5G. Any problem uncovered today, tomorrow, or any other
day will get tested on the latest version of the code and patched with that
code. For 8.5F customer you run a high risk of patch interaction which
would make it more complex in trying to resolve you problem.
