Fast 4GL Systems is looking to expand our in-house programming staff to work on new and exciting projects. This is an opportunity to work with Progress V8/V9 in a GUI environment. We currently maintain a custom manufacturing application and are working on other custom packages for both manufacturing and distribution.
You will build, enhance and modify custom applications utilizing Progress V8 and V9 GUI. We are also starting new projects using WebSpeed, so you will have the opportunity to learn that as well. You will need the ability to build and enhance applications based on management and end user specifications. Excellent written and verbal skills are also required, as well as the proven ability to meet project deadlines.
We require 2 to 5 years of Progress development experience, with at least some of that time developing GUI applications. Manufacturing experience is a big plus. Any SmartObject and/or WebSpeed exposure is a plus as well. You should have general working knowledge of Windows NT and SCO OpenServer, or other Unix variant. You should also be able to effectively manage your time and work independently.
This is a permanent position only. There will be very limited (or no) travel involved. All applicants will need to provide proof of eligibility to work in the US, as we can not accept applicants requiring sponsorship at this time.
