upgrade of HP 10.20 to HP 11.0

I am currently in the planning phase of upgrading our unix box from HP 10.20 to 11.0. We are currently running version 8.3B and want to stay at that version until after we upgrade the box to 11.0, then at a later date upgrade progress to 9.1D.
Can I have our unix administrators upgrade the box without affecting Progress? Or do I have to dump and reload the database, reinstall any software, recompile code? We also have version 8.3D along with a patch which at one point according to former co-worker said needed to be installed when upgrading to Unix 11.0.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

You *should* be fine. Version upgrades to the O/S should be independant of the database and r-code.

Does 8.3B work on HP-UX 11.0? You may need to go to an intermediate version of Progress that work on both HP-UX 10.20 and 11.0

As always with these things - Testing is good. REALLY good!
