Position Title: Software Engineer (C/VMS/Progress)
Location: Clifton, NJ
Duration: Full time/permanent
Client is a leader in providing innovative system solutions to
the lottery industry for over 30 years. Through the use of standards-based
technology, they develop, install, and operate online, instant and video
systems for lotteries in the United States and international jurisdictions.
Games typically include lotto, sports pools, daily numbers, cash
games, other matrix games and keno.

You will be responsible for development and maintenance for their
video lottery central control system. Essential duties will include:
* Understand all aspects of the video lottery central control
system, including database, process, reports and user interface.
* Perform maintenance, design and new development for the system.
* Assist with systems debugging of customer related issues.
* Build and release system software to the customers.
* Potential interaction with customer, project management, and
production support.
* Some travel required.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
* At least 2 years of applications development expertise utilizing
C/C++/VMS, which also includes expertise with Progress database.
* Experience with large systems or NT development expertise is
desirable.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
