Job Announcement: Software Engineer 4 - Progress/Oracle/Cognos
Come to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to work in a small shop
environment within a large stable company. ADP/CSG-Autosource,
located in Milwaukie, OR, is seeking an experienced Progress programmer
to join our 20 person development team. ADP is a $5 billion worldwide
Fortune 500 company. Autosource is part of the ADP Claims Services Group
providing software and services to the insurance industry for automotive
claims. At Autosource we have the resources and support of a large
corporation while maintaining the entrepreneurial spirit of a small group.
Position: Software Engineer 4 (permanent)
Location: Portland, Oregon area
Relocation: Possible for the right candidate
Environment:
Large HP Unix servers for the host Progress V8.3 CHUI server application.
Progress V9.1GUI Windows client. Webspeed applications. Microsoft Web
applications. Oracle databases. Cognos management reporting. We're
enhancing current products and doing extensive new development for both
clients and servers. This is a large, complex application requiring senior
level programmers with excellent design/analysis and programming skills.
Responsibilities:
* Analysis and design of both small and large projects
* Programming in Progress V8/V9 GUI and/or CHUI and Webspeed
* Programming using Web tools: ASP, XML, XSL, ADO, SOAP, Javascript
* Programming using PL/SQL and Oracle databases
* Programming using Cognos Transformer and IWR
* Unit testing and documentation of code
Requirements:
* Minimum of 7 years programming experience
* Minimum 3 years programming experience in Progress 4GL.
* Minimum 1 year programming using SQL
* Minimum BS or BA degree.
* Must have excellent written and oral communications skills
* Must be able to work well in a team environment where all members
are dedicated to producing World Class products and providing World
Class Service to our clients
* Knowledge of Unix environment and productivity tools.
Preferred:
* 5+ years Progress programming experience. We're looking for a
senior level programmer.
* 3 years programming in an Oracle environment
* 2 years programming using Cognos Transformer or similar tools
* Experience using Web tools: ASP, XML, XSL, ADO, SOAP
* Knowledge of MS Windows environment and productivity tools.
