Serial based inventory management

We're looking for a bolt-on for Mfg/Pro that allows inventory managment by serial number. Does anyone have experience with this?

Why? - Just set the Serial Number Control flag in the item master to "S"
standard porogram now serial number controls the item -mandatory

In MFG/Pro starting with 7.5 / 8.5, there is also the possibility to use the Compliance module.
It is situated under menu 1.22 Compliance. If not available ask for a temporary license with QAD.

It allows you to define different lot/serial groups. Per Item you can indicate which lot group to use. You can define the lotserial code your self.

Depending on the control file settings you can use duplicates or not.
