Senior Programmer Analyst, Fairfield, Iowa Books Are Fun

Books Are Fun is the nation's largest book display and event marketer.
We are an established, successful, and growing company with 1,300 employees
and sales reps. We are looking for a Senior Programmer Analyst to work at
our national headquarters in Fairfield, Iowa.

Job Description

* Support Financial Dynamics based sales and inventory management
system, in Progress 9.1 on Solaris Unix.
* Define user requirements and develop programming specifications.
* Programming in Progress CHUI and GUI.
* Progress DB design.
* Future projects may require cross-platform development, and include
integration with an in-field point-of-sale system, and conversion
to an ERP.

Requirements

* Team player
* Good communications, analytical, and writing skills
* Experience in all phases of the development cycle
* At least six years of Progress CHUI and GUI programming experience.
* UNIX / Win2K.
* Progress DBA / VB / SQL / Access / Oracle a plus.
* BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
