Sales History

Hi Symixers - Hope y'all aren't finding it too hard to get back in the
saddle . . .

I have what I hope will be a quick question for you.
We are starting the lengthy process of importing our sales history from
Counter Point into Syteline 4.0.2. One of our biggest reasons (and most
obvious) for doing this is so that our sales reps can easily refer to a
customer's purchase history when they call with a question. I was hoping
you could briefly tell me what tables in SL we should populate w/ this info.
I see a coh (customer order history) table - is this a likely candidate? Or
do we just import the info into the inv-hdr and inv-item tables? Or all of
the above?
Any suggestions would be great! Thx a mil . . .

Depends on what you are importing.

The COH is Customer Order Header History,
which is only a set of orders with status of
H. If you load here you load line items/releases
into citemh, and blanket lines into coh-bl. You
will also need at least one notes record for
the item description. Make sure to do all the
validations on item, customer, etc. You may
also want to load the records into co, co-bln,
and coitem with a status of "C" complete. Probably
the least repercussions.

The inv-hdr is just that invoices. Don't touch
it. It has A/R implications that can be
complicated.

If that did not change since Symix4, for inventory history by item there is
a table called sale-sum with a date and 65 periods of history ($ and qty)..

>Depends on what you are importing.
Just when I though I had it figured out, I discover we are importing invoice
info., not customer orders. Consequently, it seems my plans to import the
history into the co & coitem tables is foiled. So now what . . .
There are two main issues for us to consider w/ this migration. First, and
most importantly, as stated in the original post, we need our sales reps to
have quick, easy access to a customer's sales history from w/in SL(4.0.2).
Secondly, we would like to be able to use reports we have developed in-house
to determine sales totals that extend beyond our SL go-live date of just 6
months ago. These reports derive their totals from the inv-hdr and inv-item
tables.

>The inv-hdr is just that invoices. Don't touch it. It has A/R implications

If we do not import our sales/invoice history here, then where?

Any suggestions will be rewarded w/ mucho bueno karma ;0)
TIA-
