Running Balance Sheets

We're running a balance sheet and it it taking almost six hours to complete,
if it even does.
We've run the rebalance utility within the GL, but it hasn't improved at
all.
Is there anyone else experiencing this problem? And what have you done to
fix it?

What version of SL? or SYmix?
how are you configured? Clients? Server(s)?
are you running appserver?
what type of network?

Sorry, I certainly asked for that one didn't I?

We're on Syteline 3.5b01a. We're running multi-site. Running DB on Unix
machine.
Application is on a NT server with a thin Client. We additionally have
Terminal Server/Winframe
lisences too. We've run these in both places without much difference.
