Restore from backup with different records per block database

Hi,
I have database with 128 records per block and 8K database block size. I’ve created new database designed with 64 records per block and 8K database block size. Now I’m trying to restore old database (128 rec/block) into new database (64 rec/block) but there is error message “Records per Block mismatch backup has 128, database has 64 for Area 7. restore failed.”.

So does anybody knows is it possible to restore somehow old database to a new database using different record per block.

You cannot.

To change block size or rows per block (or blocks per cluster) you must dump and load.
