1. The nature of the enhancement required specifying what should be changed or implemented. The SAP HANA ODBC driver doesn't work with the DataDirect Driver Manager on UNIX/Linux platforms. The cause of the issue is that the DD DM only uses SQLWCHAR for unicode, while the SAP HANA driver uses wchar_t. 2. The use cases for the proposed idea (enhancement) specifying the added functionality of the product as a result of the proposed enhancement. Customers aren't able to connect to SAP HANA using the DataDirect DM. This impacts applications that needs to access data from more than one DB during the same invocation of the application, and where Ingres is one of the DB's. When Ingres is a data store, then the customer must use an opensource DM, and isn't able to use the DD DM, and so aren't able to use the DD drivers in that instance. 3. The current alternatives or workarounds for the proposed idea (enhancement), if such alternatives exist, and why these are not desirable. There are no supported alternatives to this use.
