Technical Consulting Practice Manager
This Global Professional Services (GPS) position requires a solid,
well-rounded consultant who will act as an 'advocate' for GPS Technical
Consulting Practices. The role of the advocate is to increase GPS
profitability and customer satisfaction through improved consultant
productivity by
* Bringing the technical aptitude of new consultants up to speed faster
* Improving the technical aptitude of mid-tier and senior GPS consultants.
You will put your extensive consulting and development experience to work
to guarantee that the technical consulting practices are evaluated and
promoted to meet the needs of the GPS consultants. You will be providing
expert advice and be capable leading others to perform. You will work in
a fast-paced global, yet exciting, environment. Some travel required (10-20%).
This position reports into the Director of the Office of Project Management
and Technical Consulting Practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* Must possess 10+ years solid application development experience,
3+ years of architect experience, 4+ years of I/T consulting experience,
4+ years of Progress experience. Strong ADM, Progress 4GL and Appserver
- experienced programming in a distributed environment
* Excellent verbal, written communication, project leadership, presentation,
and interpersonal skills
* Proven ability to multi-task.
Desired: Dynamics 1.1, Webspeed, JAVA, HTML, Globalization knowledge
