I would enable them.
It probably won't matter much most of the time. But occasionally, like when you do a dump & load, it could be very helpful. Especially if you have organized your db using lots of dedicated storage areas.
BTW -- 9.1D is ancient and unsupported. You should upgrade to at least 9.1E04.
