This position is a permanent position. The person's main responsibility will be managing and building internal customer relationships, project management, managing a development team application management.
This includes hands on work including management of the development, testing, maintenance, documentation and support of business applications with emphasis on QAD’s MFG/PRO system and EDI.
The candidate must possess a solid understanding of database technology, application development methodologies, and package selection and implementation exposure in a Manufacturing and / or Distribution industry. Functional knowledge in the finance area is also required.
The Manager will be expected to manage the ongoing support and maintenance request efficiently as well as manage a team of 5-6 programmer/analyst and must be able to work under deadline pressures.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must have at least a 4-year degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum 7 years in Information Technology
- Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a finance background
- Minimum 5 years Progress
- Experience leading packaged software evaluations, selection, implementations and upgrades.
- Minimum 5 years recent experience in QAD’s MFG/PRO V8.5 or above
