Progress Senior Programmer/Analyst, Queens, NY
J&R Music and Computer World, one of the Largest Music and Electronics
Retailers, is interviewing for a senior level Progress 9.1 Programmer
/ Analyst. J&R is currently moving from a multiple legacy systems
environment (including Progress) to a state of the art platform with
NxTrend's systems as its base.
Successful Candidates should have the following skills:
1) Strong understanding of V9 Progress ADM2, GUI, CHUI, 4GL, AppServer
and Advanced V9 Features i.e. Super-Procedures and Dynamic Queries, etc.
2) Skills in Sonic MQ & SQ, C# & ASP in .NET, SQL, and Java a Big Plus.
3) Experience with Inventory in a Retail, Distribution, or Manufacturing
environment is strongly suggested.
Position Details:
1) The Position is full time plus.
2) The Candidate needs to be ready to commit to this project and do
whatever it takes.
3) The successful Candidate will become the senior technical leader for
J&R in the ERP area.
4) The Candidate must be a U.S. citizens or otherwise presently authorized
to work full time in the U.S.
5) There will be little or no travel.
6) The primary work location is Maspeth, Queens NY. Occasionally work will
need to be done in downtown Manhattan where the retail stores are located.
