TITLE: Programmer (Progress Programmer)
SALARY Range: $40k-$45k
JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the
responsibility of the database application integration, extracts/transfers/
loads (ETL), and development of World Airways software.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* This position reports to and receives direct daily guidance from
the Application Development, Manager.
* Assist with providing database application/integration development
and support.
* Assist with the interfacing of several applications into our client
server environment.
* Work with multiple vendors for both operational support and data
delivery. Evaluate vendor supplied products to determine
applicability to company needs.
* Assist with developing extract, transfer, & load (ETL) processes
to interface our various data needs.
* Troubleshoot in a production environment.
* Assist with performing routine database administration.
* Responsible for recurring reports to the Application Development,
Manager on progress of projects
* Provide daily customer support to system processes and functionality.
* Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development,
logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
* PROGRESS GUI 8.3b or higher
* PROGRESS Character 8.3b or higher
* Database Administration.
LOCATION: Peachtree City, Georgia, World Airways Headquarters Building
