Recently, I spent some time browsing LinkedIn and was struck by one clear trend: the overwhelming volume of conversations around artificial intelligence. From professionals sharing the latest AI skills they've acquired to companies showcasing innovative real world use cases, it's evident that AI has moved beyond hype, and is now a working, practical reality across industries. So, it is only fitting that this year’s premier Progress event Progress Data Platform will focus not only on AI, but also the data confidence needed to ensure that the outputs from AI are reliable, and data biases are identifiable and controlled.
Join us at the Spy Museum
I’ll admit, despite all the incredible attractions in Washington, D.C., the Spy Museum was never high on my personal to-do list. But it absolutely should have been. It turns out this unique venue holds the world’s largest public collection of espionage artifacts featuring real spy gadgets from WWII, the Cold War, and even intelligence tools used during George Washington’s time. It is history, intrigue, and innovation all under one roof and the perfect setting for the Progress Data Platform Summit.
But beyond being a fun and interesting venue, if you work with data, you belong at this summit. It’s designed for data architects and engineers focused on streamlining integration and modernization, as well as enterprise and solution architects building scalable, secure ecosystems. Product and business leaders looking to apply AI responsibly and strategically will find valuable insights, and public sector professionals dealing with large, sensitive datasets across silos will gain practical strategies to drive impact.
That all sounds great, but what is the agenda and main topics of the event?
I am glad you asked! The 2025 summit will showcase how the Progress Data Platform helps organizations to seamlessly integrate disparate data sources, apply semantic enrichment and graph-based AI such as Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), improve data governance and lineage tracking, and accelerate responsible AI with context aware data pipelines. In short, it’s about turning data into knowledge and knowledge into action.
The agenda features two full days of thought-provoking keynotes, technical deep dives, and hands-on labs. It all begins with an evening welcome reception on Sunday, September 14, offering a relaxed opportunity to connect with fellow attendees, speakers, and Progress team members before diving into the sessions.
Over the following two days, attendees can expect engaging keynotes from Progress executives and industry partners, as well as breakout tracks tailored for both technical professionals and business leaders. Customer case studies from organizations such as Moody’s, Dow, and Boeing will bring real world context to the discussion. Live product demos and previews of the platform roadmap will be available, alongside interactive panels focused on metadata driven governance, AI readiness, and data mesh architectures.
Three central topics will define this year’s summit. The first is Semantic AI Meets Real - World Data. AI is only as effective as the data it learns from, and the Progress Data Platform enhances that learning with rich metadata, contextual meaning, and a semantic layer that makes AI models more accurate, relevant, and trustworthy.
The second is Data Agility Without Compromising Control. As security and governance become increasingly critical (especially in regulated industries) Progress enables organizations to move quickly while striving towards compliance with frameworks like HIPAA, GxP, through role-based access, comprehensive lineage tracking, and policy driven controls.
Finally, the third is From Siloed to Unified. The most forward-thinking organizations are those that break down data silos and treat their information as valuable assets. The summit will demonstrate how the Progress Data Platform enables this transformation through unified search, metadata fusion, and powerful multi-model capabilities.
Save your Spot
Yes, this is a data summit, but it’s also about community, vision, and possibility. By gathering in a venue that celebrates intelligence and discovery, Progress is underscoring the deeper mission: to empower organizations to not just manage data, but to understand it and act on it meaningfully.
This is your chance to see the latest innovations in data integration, metadata management, and AI enhanced analytics - before your competitors do.
