Engaging with vibrant local tech communities and sharing knowledge has always been a key way we contribute to the IT industry. More than a year ago, we joined the popular developer initiative in Bulgaria, DEV.BG, a community of 10,000 software engineers, and are proud to have the opportunity to meet with the local developers and discuss the latest tech trends.

DEV.BG connects IT professionals with established specialists to help them get inspired by their success and experience in the industry. With its regular knowledge sharing events, it helps the local developers upgrade their skills and expand their technology knowledge. These events create an inspiring environment for all IT professionals to learn more and become even better at what they do.

Our engagement with DEV.BG includes supporting two of their tech user groups related to the technologies that are core to our business: .NET and JavaScript. In addition, nearly 10 top experts from Progress have already been speakers, talking about various topics related to web, desktop and mobile application development, QA, IoT, home automation, among others. They also share their own professional journey stories and give tips on how beginner IT professionals can be successful on their jobs and advance their careers.

DEV.BG is just one way in which we support the local IT community. You can also see us at other industry events and hear us share what keeps us getting better and better and how our passion for technology helps our customers and community succeed. This is much more than a regular activity for us – this is who we are.
