I'm thinking to install a database server and webserver (wepspeed trans. server) in a linux machine. Do I need to get a different CD from Progress for linux, or I can use my existing 9.1 B set for windows??

(Hope this doesn't violate license issues)
You can get a copy of VmWare (www.vmware.com) and install it on Linux and then install NT inside that and then install Progress. It does work but it runs like a DOG!!
Actually I take it back it doesn't run like a DOG :dead: . Its runs ok (sorry its very earily in australia). I have run servers and GUI sessions on VmWare / Progress / NT and 98 successfully for demos and I'd recommend it for people who want one laptop. Linux for the servers and NT for the GUI/Web. I used a PIII 700, 512Mb RAM and 14Gb of HDD. The more RAM the better.
I would not recommend running production this way .. maybe on VmWare's GX (??) server but probably not on VmWare.
