Progress IDE

Hi everybody,

Do we have any specific IDE which will be more useful for developing applications on Progress 4GL...

If so can anyone give me information on that...

Progress has an Eclipse based IDE known as Open Architect.

You might want to consider going to a training class. Or perhaps signing up for Exchange.

The answer might be different based on version, but OpenEdge Architect is certainly the answer for current releases. You might want to check out http://www.psdn.com/library/entry!default.jspa?categoryID=1173&externalID=3778&fromSearchPage=true for an idea of how extensible it is.

If you are stuck on earlier versions, my favorite third party editor is Ed for Windows (ED4W) see http://www.getsoft.com and http://www.oehive.org/node/262
