About the idea behind 4GL's Edsger Dijkstra dedicated a lecture in 1978 on the subject called On the foolishness of "natural language programming". www.cs.utexas.edu/.../EWD667.html . I for myself find the original ideas the led to the development of 4 GL's unsound.
