Hi Gareth, What are the specs on the VMware VM? CPU, RAM, Disk (fixed size or auto expanding), network adapter chosen, etc? If the physical server isn’t in real use yet consider having someone boot it up into its BIOS settings and be sure that any energy efficiency settings are set for maximum performance. Dell servers set these setting such that CPUs get powered down all the time. Search our KB using “vmware” as the search string. You will find several articles about performance. Brian
