I've now narrowed down the issue to multiple CPU's/Threads on a server. Our servers are hosted on VMWARE Infrastructure. On both production and test I've been allocating 4 or more CPU's per guest. This results has been poor PASOE performance. When I brought down the CPU allocation on my test environment down to 1 the performance was much better. In my post before I mentioned that I got better performance when installing Centos 8. This was true because I ran the test within Hyper-v on my local machine. I allocated the default number of CPU's "1". If I now increase this number to 4 I end up with the same poor performance. I've included my recent finding in the case I've logged with Progress.
