For those following along, thank you for all the input. I think it is resolved. I *think* the problem was that we were undeploying the 'default' ABL Application (or is it a Web Application??); the one that is named identically as the instance since it was not being used. I *think* that the docs stated that was okay to do but maybe not. Anyhow.. this time the default was left and our other ABL Applications were added and everything seems to work swimmingly. Even the 'Reload' button the 'ABL Applications' tab OEM does what is expected.
