Hi IramK, I tested in latest environment (4.0.5.0 production environment) and i did not reproduce the issue which you have mentioned. Can you let us know on which field you executed search and also what is the search criteria (i.e., Equals, not Equals etc.,) Thanks & Regards, Kiran Avs.
