Attendees: Tom Kincaid - Progress Sunil Belgoanokar - Progress Paul Moberg - Quicken Loans Gilles Querret -Riverside Software Peter Judge - Progress Eduardo Pelegri Llopart - Progress John Harlow - Progress Alex Oliveri - Progress Agenda: UI Meta Data Specification. Eduardo sent a specification proposal for the UI Meta data specification. This is the 1-2 page description as defined by the CCS Charter Document. Everybody was in sync. with the proposal. We emphasized that it should be done in Phases with the first phase focused on the application meta data and subsequent phases focused on other components. We also asked that he specify an expected completion date for the spec. I proposed 9-12 months, Sunil asked for 6 months. We plan to start the steering committee ballot for this spec. on 12 / 12 /2016. There are about 8 different companies who have expressed interest in participating in this effort. Dependency Management. This a specification proposal from Giles Querret of Riverside software is considering submitting / leading. We had a very lively discussion as Sunil was right out of the Application Development conference at Gartner :-). We discussed the variety of different topics this could cover: -Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture. -Application Moduluraization and dynamically loading portions an application as the program executes. Similar to the way OSGi and Project Jigsaw are intended to work in the Java world. -Build and runtime dependencies between logical components and libraries. This is similar to what ant and maven do for Java. Ultimately, I believe he was talking about the last item. However, I think we all felt there was scope to view the entire picture on all three fronts. We will have some more discussion on this topic. I would welcome thoughts on this thread? Common I am sure many of you have opinions :-). Tom
