Currently the OpenEdge specific metrics for monitoring the pasoe appserver with JMX are only available as operations on the mbeans. For example for monitoring Jetty and Tomcat you can use attributes to monitor everything instead of operations. Zabbix:: The Enterprise-Class Open Source Network Monitoring Solution supports these attributes, but not method calls, probably some other monitoring systems behave the same way, indeed calling methods from a monitoring system might be frowned upon. Therefore, could the metrics available through jms methods also be exposed as attributes?
