The progress printrb report enigne has a very strange behaviour. When I print a very basic report (1 page) here in our company, using the LAN-network, the RUN aderb\_printrb(...) statement takes 1733ms.
When I use the same program in our other company who uses the WAN to reach our database, printrb uses more than 3 minutes.
I can understand that a WAN is slower than a LAN but this difference is way to big. Our WAN is 256k, even fast enough to see no diffence I think.
Our WAN is measured out and works perfect, all other database transactions using the WAN are going very fast, except the printrb engine.
Does anybody know what causes this strange behaviour? And more, what to do to make it faster?
Thanks in advance.
