Printing a BOM

On the Indented Bill of Materials screen, there is a filter option with the
label Material Type. I thought that this field would be used to determine
what items appear on the BOM. For example, if I specify 12345 for the
beginning item and 12345 as the ending item, then specify O (other) in the
material type field. THEORETICALLY, this should return only the items of
the BOM with a material type of O. What actually happens is that no items
are processed. Now, if I specify M (material) in the material type, it
returns every item on the BOM (including those with the O material type).
Has anyone else noticed this ?

Hello Bill,

Works the same way in Syteline 4.5.

This field applies to the top level items only, i.e. parts you want to print
Bills of Materials for, not what type of components you would like to see on
Bill of Materials listing.
