Hi all.
I am new to the Progress environment. I have in recent months taken over support for a Progress 8.2C/Windows NT system.
System:
Compaq Series 1200 server
Pentium II 233Mhz
320 MB of RAM
Windows NT 4.0
Progress 8.2C Workgroup edition
The server was originally setup running a batch command from a specific user account. I have recently switched the environment to run as a service using procontrol to eliminate having an additional user physically logged on. After doing this, my user community (approx 15 users) complained of a performance drop. From monitoring the server (Performance Monitor) I could not detect anything different caused by the switch. Are there any performance related issues using Progress as a service on Windows NT?
FYI: This behavior was not noticed in our test environment.
Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
