If you have all of the source so that you can easily re-compile the migration is pretty simple and you are unlikely to encounter any major issues.
You might see some minor issues as new keywords may conflict with old variables or the compiler may be stricter regarding some rules than it has been in the past but these are usually easily found (they are in the compile log) and easily dealt with (rename a field or clean up sloppy coding).
You can simply convert the db with proutil conv910 but in order to really take advantage of OE10 you should do a dump & load into an appropriately designed storage area configuration. "Appropriate" depends greatly on your application and the data that you have.
