One login limitation???

I am being told that there is a ONE login limitation to either Progress, AIX, or SX.E in the new versions, because of Sarbanes Oxley.

Can anyone elaborate on how to overcome this. We need our sales people the ability to login in multiple times, from different locations.

Does anyone have any ideas or information on this?

I don't know where you got this idea from.

Maybe your company has a new policy, but Progress has no such limitations. It would make applications unworkable.

The only thing I can think of that corresponds to your idea is the new 'named user' licensing, which requires a license for every possible user, even if they are connecting via (eg.) the web.

This has nothing to do with Sarbannes Oxley, and everything to do with idiotic, short-sighted, arrogant, greedy, stupid, incompetent marketing.

Incidentally, the new inbuilt Auditing facilities of Open Edge will increase your ability to be SO compliant, but it's down to you how much you use them.
