Dear all.
I'm new to database administrating, so I need a bunch of yer help.
I do backup everyday. But someday I realized that my backup file was exceed 8 GB. I do believe that my RHEL 4 system can't hold that large file. it's failing when I tried to restore it.
So I think I must split my backup file into several files. I only need to add '-vs [n]' on my backup script. But the problem is when the backup file size excedeed [n], PROBACKUP ask another file name or another device.
My question: Is there any way to increment - or at least I can make a list of - the backup file name so that I don't have to enter a new device or file name everyime the '-vs' limit reached? For I do backup every midnight using CRONTAB (auto scheduler). It won't be funny if I still have to wait and stay in fornt of the server just to enter new device or file name.
Thanks in advanced.
