We use a place holder to enter line items that we have not created an actual item master item number yet. As an example:
"Retro" is an item in the item master that I will enter on an order with the quantity/cost/etc, and then I refer to, at a later time, an ordering aid that allows me to create the new item number that should actually be on this line.
Our production control area should not add a job to this place holder, but has inadvertantly done so on a number of these and has also assigned costs. Is there a way to move the job number from a line item that shows the item as "retro" to a new line item that has a different item name?
