MfgPro / Business Systems Analyst position - EUROPE
Job Description:
Full time position to partner with the users in Elo TouchSystems, Europe in the support, training and implementation of new information technology solutions to leverage our existing ERP system - MfgPro from QAD, Inc. Help complete the implementation MfgPro V9.0 in Europe, and provide technological leadership to the European business unit as we embark on various acquisitions, e-Commerce and business efficiency improvement projects.
Work with the various functional areas in the European business unit to identify operational inefficiencies that can be solved with increased utilization of MfgPro itself, or with the creation of custom solutions in MfgPro. The European position will work closely with the Elo IT group in California and Japan to ensure relevant standards are adhered to, and that productivity improvements that are developed centrally are implemented in the European/Asian business unit. Progress programming should not take up more than 50% of the candidate’s time. Where custom code in MfgPro is not appropriate, identify and install leading edge "bolt-on" solutions that solve users' business problems. Position will involve some travel, both domestic and international.
Job Requirements:
· Multiple years of MfgPro experience in a European manufacturing installation is required!
· Multiple years ( four years minimum) programming experience with Progress 4GL is required.
· BS Computer Science or comparable multi-year experience ( 5 years ) in a European Sales and Manufacturing environment supporting Progress and MfgPro at increasing levels of responsibility.
· Familiarity with standard EC business practices, both logistics and financial. Familiarity with SAP financials a plus.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Multiple languages a plus, with English a requirement.
· Successful candidate should have a strong desire to interact with the user community to understand business issues. Interactive team player with strong customer service skills will be most successful.
· Experience working with users helping them find appropriate IT alternatives to business problems, and then develop/implement the solutions.
Compensation Package:
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience levels.
